Aloft Hotel (Malaysia)

The Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) is a container port and located in the mouth of the river Pulai in the Malaysian state of Johor – just north of Singapore.

Dataran Maybank Tower

A prominent skyscaper of the city skyline

At 244 m, the Maybank Tower was once the tallest building in Kuala Lumpur as well as in Malaysia and is half the height of the Petronas Twin Towers.

The impressive twin blocks of the Maybank Complex in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur was a challenging project. The foundation required a single continuous ready-mix concrete pour of 13,500 cubic metres in 52 hours which was an innovation for the region.

Prai River Bridge

Dual-three lane cable stayed bridge

This 1.85 km cable-stayed bridge crosses the Prai River and is part of the Butterworth Outer Ring Road in Penang. The bridge was awarded the prestigious Supreme Award for Transportation Structures by the Institute of Structural Engineers UK in 2006.

For the bridge structure, Hanson Malaysia supplied a special mix that can withstand severe marine conditions.

Other Projects

The Tebrau Highway in Johor Bahru

Also known as Johor Bahru-Kota Tinggi Highway, this highway is the main throughfare carrying large traffic volumes to and from Singapore.

Hanson Malaysia supplied and laid high performance stone mastic asphalt for the six lane Tebrau Highway in Johore. The unique heavy traffic asphalt specification adopted for this project has the benefit of improved skid resistance, noise reduction, stability and surface texture.
